Goldie Lookin Chain - Moho Live, Manchester.
Moho Live is packed to the brim. Adidas trousers, hats and headbands are the outfit of choice as Welsh rappers Goldie Lookin Chain hit Manchester this evening.
Since breaking into the mainstream charts 2004 the Newport band have managed to create quite a name for themselves. Their outrageous and lewd lyrics may have alienated some people among the music world but there are few better ways to spend your Tuesday than in the company of eight grown men rapping about sex, robots, Kelly Osbourne and, well, sex.

Opening with 'Half-Man Half-Machine' the band receive a rapturous reception from the Moho crowd. It's easy to tell early on in a GLC concert if it is going to work and tonight it most defiantly is.
Half the crowd raves with the band, the other half stand in amusement. Mixing new material with old classics the band manage to hold everyone's attention. The thumping beats and catchy nature of new tunes 'By Any Means Necessary' and 'Everybody is a DJ.' The crowd become involved in every song, seemingly getting louder, or drunker, the longer the night goes on.
Old favorites 'Guns Don't Kill People,' 'Your Missus Is A Nutter' and 'Soapbar' are met with adoration. Everyone's favorite drunken songs becoming anthems in Moho. The GLC may have seemed like they would fade as quickly as they appeared on the music scene but by tonight’s performance they are still definitely loved and in demand. Long may it continue.
They may tell more masturbation jokes than an entire year of pubescent boys and are quite unable to take anything seriously but get yourself down to a club, get sweaty and drunk with a few fellow revelers and there is no other band you would want to have in front of you.
